Conveniently located at the end of a short dead-end road just off Mad Tom Road in the village of East Dorset, Vermont, the Bake Shed is located roadside at our Leary Lane residence. The self-serve shed is open 9am-6pm (earlier, if items sell out) on Saturdays.
Covid-19 Notice: Please do not place an order or enter the shed for pickup if you are experiencing signs of illness or are in quarantine. Unvaccinated visitors are required to wear a mask inside the Bake Shed. There is a limit of one customer or small family unit in the Shed at a time. Please wait at a safe distance if you are waiting to enter. (If there is a line, it moves quickly – order pickup is easy!)
Important things to know:
- There is a large black handle on the door frame to assist in climbing the two slate stairs.
- No dogs inside the shed, please. The tree at the back of the Bake Shed (towards the cemetery) has a large metal clip attached for leash tie-ups.
- The Bake Shed is self-serve. Items are prepackaged and mostly in cases. Choose what you want out of the cases, and please make sure they are closed when you are done.
- Use the log or envelope to record your purchase; payment of cash or personal check is accepted. Since I do not leave out money for making change, any overpayment can be recorded as a credit and applied toward a future purchase.
- Make sure the door is closed as you leave, and come back again soon!
Driving Directions:
From Rt. 7, turn onto Mad Tom Road (across from the General Store). Proceed over the railroad tracks, past Dorset Town Hall on the right and make the next left onto Leary Lane (look for signs on the right near mailboxes directing you to the Bake Shed). The Bake Shed is 600ft up Leary Lane at the road on the left, just before the cemetery.
Please watch your speed as you travel up Mad Tom Road and Leary Lane – lots of pets and children. At the Bake Shed, please park as to not block access to the cemetery located beyond our property; plenty of spots are available curbside.
