Bad news: The Bake Shed will not be open this Saturday as I need to help my daughter pack and leave for her three week exchange trip to Germany. Berry Rye Sourdough hits the Bake Shed this Saturday! Made with fresh-milled whole rye flour and freeze dried blueberries, this bread is super flavorful and just sweet enough. It makes amazing breakfast toast, and I could see it being great for sandwiches (maybe chicken salad?). Yum!Self-serve at the Bake Shed only again this weekend (sorry, no orders). Day 2 of “Best of Rye” class at @kingarthurbaking

Day 2 of “Best of Rye” class at @kingarthurbaking with the @breadbakersguild. Eleven formulas in two days (!), all made with rye: lots of breads, savory scones, a couple different cookies, some savory and sweet galettes and even a cake using old rye bread. I came away from class with so much new knowledge about rye and with new baker friends from different parts of the country.
